Procedure for claiming damages
Response upon receipt
You need to initiate the procedure within 7 days after the product arrives.
If you discover any damage or defects, you must contact and report to the local post office immediately.
Take and keep photos of all the outer boxes of the packages and any damaged products.
Obtaining a Damage Report
Required Documents
For international mail, a CN24 (Damage Report) is required.
In the case of the United States, use PS Form 2856.
Bring the three items: photo, damaged product (actual item), and delivery receipt to the post office.

Procedures for compensation for damages
From investigation application to compensation
After the necessary documents are prepared, a request for investigation will be made to Japan Post.
The survey period takes approximately 2 weeks to 6 months depending on the delivery method.
If it is determined that the damage was caused by delivery based on the investigation results, compensation will be paid.
